I find my lack of sleep disturbing…

Not sure what the exact quote was that Mr. Vader told one of his minions in the (said with a snooty french accent ala Eddie Izzard) Star Wars tril-o-gy, but I’m sure I’m not too far off.

I normally don’t like staying up late or just being awake in the wee hours of the morning, I tend to be unhappy, grumpy and disgruntled in a generalized way. I think I attribute my sense of indignation at being awake at this hour to a nightly ritual of actually sleeping when bedtime comes around for the last 30 years.

I think sometime this month without my knowledge or consent my body has decided, “What the fuck do I care what that guy wants?” and left me weary and tired and unfortunately wide awake and suffering from some sort of anxiety disorder thingy ma-jobby probably brought about by a nearly 2 year air of “will I have my job tomorrow” atmosphere.

I’ve taken no steps to remedy my sleep situation yet other than the occasional, “Gawd, this sucks monkey balls.” while I surf the web at 3a.m.

I guess in an effort

I guess in an effort to fill the ever expanding content void of this site, I will regale my lucky readers with tales of my lunchtime card gaming events.

DRAMATIS PERSONAE

SiddGames = The NOS guy
McWook = That Network guy that’s now with another company
Vampy = Moi =)

First off I should probably give a brief description of the CCG (collectible card game) that we play in lieu of more productive activities. It’s called ‘A Game of Thrones’ and its based on an unfinished series entitled ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ by George R.R. Martin. Currently the series is on book 3 and its quite an enjoyable read if you like grand scale epic fantasy type books.

Basically our games go like this:

Vampy: (in a high pitched voice) WTF? You guys are ganging up on me AGAIN!
SiddGames: (in a higher pitched voice) WTF? You guys ALWAYS gang up on me!
McWook: (in a gloating voice) I win again! WTF!? (evil laughter)

As you can see its quite the contest of champions and to make it even better this is done in the cafeteria of our building so there are many witnesses to our little production.

Sung to the tune of Three Little Maids by Gilbert and Sullivan

THE THREE:
Three little geeks at work are we
Geeky as only a nerd can be.
Filled to the brim with nerdly glee
Three little geeks at work!

-v- out.

Friday the 13th!

Welp as I feared this page will not get updated with near the regularity that was initially promised to my loyal viewer (me). I’ll keep trying though and see what kind of mundane life details I can put forth here for everyone to read and marvel over at its wonderness.

Yay for fridays!

I hate being on-call… (although *knocks on wood, this week is going pretty well.)
